Japanese customization shop Bondosaka has finished working on a bespoke Bentley Bentayga, which it apparently tried to tone down a bit. Read on for the reasons why it did not work.
First, the tuner selected a Startech wide body kit for the job, which looks aggressive rather than elegant and lends the already muscular SUV a downright menacing stance.
Second, the team left large visible seams during installation, which is something you would be able to get away with on some of the more affordable cars, but not on a Bentley. On a brighter note, the ‘bolt-on’ fenders, so typical in JDM tuning, never made it into the project.
Having said that, the Bondosaka-tuned Bentayga actually looks quite stylish and sporty nonetheless. The front bumper and spoiler, a Mansory front grille, a faux diffuser and a ducktail wing at the rear – all parts go along well with the car and each other. The gorgeous 24-inch HRE Performance S209 wheels with their thin spokes are a topping on the cake.
